Haiti is a country of 8.9 million people with over 30 years of continuous conflict and devastation. Haiti is the poorest country in the western hemisphere with recent massive earthquakes destroying much of its infrastructure. Haiti does not have any fully trained native reconstructive surgeons.
Mission: Restore volunteer surgeons visited Haiti after the devastating earthquake in 2010 and plan to return in the Fall of 2013 to provide reconstructive surgical training.
