What We Do

Mission: Restore provides life changing plastic and reconstructive surgery both globally and locally to children and adults in need.

The goals of the Foundation are to:

  • Provide expert plastic and reconstructive surgical care to patients in need
    in the US  and throughout the world;
  • Educate and train future medical professionals dedicated to volunteer care;
  • Invest in scientific research focused on developing better plastic and
    reconstructive surgery practices and procedures.

CLINICAL

  • Mission: Restore organizes and funds volunteer medical missions to deliver
    expert plastic and reconstructive surgery to patients in need suffering from
    conditions such as burns, congenital deformities and facial and body trauma.
  • Mission: Restore mobilizes teams of doctors through travel scholarships so
    that doctors can donate their time and expertise to provide care within the
    United States and around the world.

EDUCATION

  • Mission: Restore raises public awareness concerning the need for charitable
    care by hosting informational lectures at medical centers and education
    centers, publishing articles, engaging the news media and through grass
    roots events.
  • Mission: Restore works towards increasing the volunteer component in
    medical school and surgical residency training programs by funding
    educational programs focused on the delivery of health care in areas of need
    around the world and  campaigning for greater advocacy amongst medical
    institutions and students.
  • Mission: Restore will fund and conduct events that will gather clinicians and
    researchers from around the world to report on the latest innovations in
    plastic and reconstructive surgery to advance critical knowledge and discuss
    applications of new procedures around the world.

 

New Opportunities in Education

  • Create a Travelling Fellowship Program for a fully trained plastic surgeon to
    spend one year abroad
  • Provide pre and post visits to our “sustainable project” hospitals
  • Conduct research on outcomes projects
  • Compile a manual for volunteer surgery
  • Create an annual symposium for volunteer surgery

 


RESEARCH

  • Mission: Restore will spearhead research projects focused on improvements
    in plastic and reconstructive surgery practices and procedures, conduct
    clinical research initiatives and fund research grants.
  • Mission: Restore will collect and analyze research data on patient outcomes
    and disseminate the information via medical journals and online forums.
  • Mission: Restore will fund research grants focused on improving the delivery
    of plastic surgical care to those in need.
  • Mission: Restore will fund research grants focused on development of new
    surgical tools to minimize recovery time and monitoring in areas around
    the globe.

INSPIRE
Mission: Restore plans to increase the volunteer component in medical school and surgical residency training programs by funding educational programs focused on the delivery of health care in areas of need around the world and by campaigning for greater advocacy amongst medical institutions and students.
