About Mission: Restore

Mission Statement

Mission: Restore, established in the spring of 2010, provides life changing plastic and reconstructive surgery both globally and locally to children and adults in need.

The goals of the Foundation are to:

  • Provide expert plastic and reconstructive surgical care to patients in need in the US and throughout the world;
  • Educate and train future medical professionals dedicated to volunteer care;
  • Invest in scientific research focused on developing better plastic and reconstructive surgery practices and procedures.

Board Members

  • Kaveh Alizadeh, MD, MSc, FACS, President, Board of Directors

    Dr. Kaveh Alizadeh has been the President of Long Island Plastic Surgical Group since 2007 and also directs the Clinical Research Division of the practice’s Plastic Surgery Residency Program. Dr. Alizadeh obtained his undergraduate degree from Cornell University and earned his Masters Degree from Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons. Read more >>

  • Vincent R. DiGregorio, MD, FACS, Vice President, Board of Directors

    Dr. Vincent DiGregorio is the senior surgeon at Long Island Plastic Surgical Group with more than 20 years of experience in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. DiGregorio received his MD degree from Albany Medical College in Albany, New York. Read more >>

  • Thomas A. Davenport, MD, FACS, Secretary, Board of Directors

    Dr. Thomas Davenport received his Bachelor of Science degree from Iona College and his MD degree from Yale University. He completed both his residency in General Surgery and fellowship in Plastic Surgery at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard University Program. Read more >>

INSPIRE
Mission: Restore plans to increase the volunteer component in medical school and surgical residency training programs by funding educational programs focused on the delivery of health care in areas of need around the world and by campaigning for greater advocacy amongst medical institutions and students.
EDUCATE
Mission: Restore raises public awareness concerning the need for charitable care by hosting informational lectures at medical centers and education centers, publishing articles and engaging the news media.
The Foundation will collect and analyze research data on patient outcomes and disseminate the information via medical journals and online forums.
ENLIGHTEN
Mission: Restore will fund and conduct events that gather clinicians and researchers from around the world to report on the latest innovations in plastic and reconstructive surgery in order to advance critical knowledge and to discuss the application of new procedures around the world.
HEAL
Mission: Restore organizes and funds volunteer medical missions to deliver expert plastic and reconstructive surgery to patients in need who are suffering from conditions such as burns, congenital deformities and facial and body trauma both in the United States and throughout the world.
